Fluid contours describe a profile in reductive economy: the brim of a cap, the arc of a face, an ear's pendant form, and what might be a shoulder's descent. Black line moves with variable pressure across white ground, thickening at structural junctures, thinning where gesture accelerates. A single dot marks the eye. The drawing refuses elaboration, its few strokes suggesting figuration through minimal correspondence - hat, head, body - whilst the open spaces between lines become as compositionally active as the marks themselves, creating an image that oscillates between recognition and abstraction.
