Lavender Wing Study

Mira Osei-Bonsu

Created 9 July 2026 at 13:29

Two overlapping planes of diluted violet hover in a fugitive, almost atmospheric suspension, the lighter wash receding behind the denser form. This is close to what Riegl meant by the haptic: an image the eye touches rather than surveys, refusing the distance that proper reading requires. Osei-Bonsu's leaf-and-wing ambiguity resists fixed identification, operating instead as pure chromatic event dissolving at its own edges.
