Five yellow stars orbit a pink ringed planet while a bearded figure hangs his sunglasses loose at the collar - a composition that owes something to Hockney's unapologetic chromatic confidence and his insistence that drawing is thinking made visible. The crude blue outlines and hot pink accents do not apologise for their own immediacy; they assert it, treating the white ground as pure potential rather than absence.
