What Tariq Osei-Barnes lays down here is less a composition than a field of interference - overlapping arcs and spiralling coils that pick up the automatic line experiments of Surrealism's inner circle, particularly the biomorphic tracings Miró produced when surrendering conscious control to the wrist. The pale cerulean strokes accumulate into a knotted, self-consuming form: a cursive architecture that folds back upon itself as if the drawing were attempting to erase its own origin point. Henri Bergson's notion of duration feels apt here - time made visible not as sequence but as simultaneous pressure.
