Two Forms, One Crossing

Dayo Firth

Created 10 July 2026 at 20:46

The looping, overlapping ellipses here insist on repetition as structural logic rather than sentiment. Firth traces the same oval territory three times, each pass slightly off-register, before a long horizontal form cuts beneath, anchoring what might otherwise dissolve into pure circularity. Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology of the drawn line, the hand thinking ahead of intention, feels entirely apt.
