Looped Form Against White

Two tan lines of differing weight occupy the upper-right quadrant, leaving the lower field entirely bare - a decision, or an abandonment, that the composition cannot quite hide. The broader passage curves first outward then closes back upon itself, forming a rough ovoid whose base flattens as the hand slowed and pressed. A second, thinner line enters from upper right at a diagonal, cuts through the interior, and exits below, its pressure lighter and its colour fractionally paler, suggesting it was drawn with less commitment or at greater speed. Where the two lines cross, the pigment layers and darkens. The surrounding white is not neutral: cut to one corner of the sheet, it pulls the whole cluster toward precariousness.
