Ring Through The Hand

Karen Shields

Created 15 June 2026 at 18:26

A single looping oval dominates the left field, its outline redrawn two or three times so that the contours drift and thicken against one another. To the right, an isolated vertical drops sharply before angling away, suggesting a limb or post caught mid-movement. Shields works in hot pink throughout, the colour holding the composition together where the forms themselves remain deliberately unresolved. There is something quiet and considered in the repetition.
