Privacy notice

This notice sets out how wifärt gallery handles personal data submitted via this website. Plain language is used throughout. If anything is unclear, contact curation@wifartgallery.com.

What is collected

When you submit a drawing to the collection, the following data is recorded: the drawing itself, your artist name (if provided), an email address (only if you opt in to notification), whether you opted in to mailing list updates, the IP address of your device at the time of submission, the browser user agent, and a timestamp.

Purpose and lawful basis

The drawing, artist name, and submission timestamp are processed under legitimate interests to operate the gallery and exhibit the work. Email addresses are processed under consent, given via the opt-in checkboxes at submission. IP address and user agent are recorded under legitimate interests to detect abuse of the submission system, and are not used for any other purpose.

Storage and processors

Data is stored in databases operated by Supabase. Emails are sent via Resend. The site is hosted by Netlify. These processors operate to their own published data protection terms.

Retention

Published works remain in the gallery's online collection indefinitely; the artist name as submitted is displayed alongside. Rejected submissions are retained for moderation history. Email addresses are retained until you withdraw consent. You may request deletion of any of the above at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to request a copy of personal data held about you, to request correction or deletion, to withdraw consent for any optional processing (notifications, mailing list), and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise any of these rights, email curation@wifartgallery.com.

Cookies

This website does not set tracking cookies. Site analytics are processed server-side without individual user identification.

Changes to this notice

Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
